We are seeking an experienced and talented Director of Photography to lead our camera and cinematography teams in bringing our creative vision to life.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Cinematography: Oversee the visual aspects of all projects, ensuring high-quality cinematography that aligns with the creative and storytelling objectives.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage the camera and cinematography teams, including camera operators, assistants, and lighting crews. Provide guidance, mentorship, and ensure that the team works cohesively.
Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, and other creative professionals to understand the vision for each project and translate it into a visual language.
Camera Operation: Operate cameras and equipment when necessary, ensuring that the shots meet the artistic and technical standards set for the project.
Lighting and Composition: Oversee lighting design and ensure that scenes are composed effectively, enhancing the mood and narrative of the content.
Equipment Management: Manage and maintain camera equipment, ensuring that it is in optimal condition for shooting. Stay current with advancements in camera technology and advise on equipment upgrades or new acquisitions.
Location Scouting: Participate in location scouting to assess lighting and shooting conditions.
Post-Production Collaboration: Work closely with the post-production team to ensure that the vision is maintained during editing, color grading, and other post-production processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Film, Cinematography, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Director of Photography with a strong portfolio showcasing versatility in visual storytelling.
Proficiency in operating a range of cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
Strong understanding of cinematography techniques and lighting principles.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work within project timelines and meet deadlines.
Additional Information:
This position may involve travel to shooting locations.
Flexibility with working hours may be required to accommodate production schedules.
