Screenwriter - Science and History Documentaries

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development: Collaborate with the Assistant Creative Director to conceptualize and develop documentary ideas, particularly in the fields of science and history.
Screenwriting: Write compelling and well-researched documentary scripts that engage and educate our viewers. This includes conducting in-depth research, interviews, and fact-checking.
Research: Conduct thorough research on science and history topics, ensuring accuracy and depth of content. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the chosen fields.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, directors, and other creative professionals to bring the documentary vision to life.
Content Editing: Review and revise scripts as necessary, ensuring they align with our storytelling objectives, are factually accurate, and maintain a compelling narrative.
Contributions to Creative Direction: Provide creative input to shape the content strategy for science and history documentaries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as History, Science, Journalism, or Creative Writing.
Proven experience in screenwriting, with a strong portfolio of documentary work.
Exceptional research skills, with the ability to delve deep into complex topics.
Strong storytelling abilities and a knack for making complex subjects accessible to a broad audience.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Information:
This position may involve occasional travel for on-site research or interviews.
Flexibility with working hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
